April’s working priorities

Opportunity in Every ZIP Code

Every neighborhood should share in Madison’s growth.

Economic opportunity should not depend on a resident’s ZIP code. City policy can open more doors for local businesses, workers, and young people.

This is a working campaign direction that will continue to develop through community conversations.

What this means

  • Support small and locally owned businesses
  • Expand workforce development and apprenticeships
  • Connect historically underserved residents to opportunity
  • Build stronger partnerships with local employers
